The Body of Abraham Lincoln

Years after President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, in the 1870’s a band of criminals failed in an attempt to steal Lincoln’s body from his tomb in Springfield, Illinois. The program will focus on the attempted kidnapping of the body for ransom and will discuss the debate and decision on where the president was to be buried and how his final resting place became a monument that is visited by thousands every year.

Length: 60 Minutes
